Teaching Committee

The Teaching Committee, established by the Department Council, is composed of the Teaching Coordinator, representatives of Degree Programme Chairs, Directors of Specialization Schools and Master’s Programmes, student representatives, a representative of the specialization trainees, and the teaching representative from the Faculty Liaison Structure. All appointments and elected positions continue until the natural end of their term.

It is an advisory and consultative body, convened and chaired by the Teaching Coordinator. The Committee oversees the internal organization of teaching activities and, at the end of each academic year, presents to the Department Council a report on its work and a strategic plan for the following year.

Specifically, in collaboration with the Liaison Structure of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, the Committee performs the following functions:

• collaborates in drafting the Department’s annual programme and development plan;
• promotes the efficient allocation of the Department’s resources and staff in line with the strategic objectives defined in the Development Plan;
• monitors and evaluates teaching performance in compliance with the Quality Assurance Guidelines;
• carries out other functions assigned by the Department Council.
